About the Northfield Conservation Cooperative
In March 2007, a group of volunteers formed the Northfield Conservation Cooperative to gather information about Northfield’s natural and cultural resources, to organize educational and outdoor recreational activities, and to explore the potential for forming a municipal Conservation Commission.
A Conservation Commission is a local government body that is advisory in capacity and works closely with the town legislative, planning and zoning bodies.
